  • International School Teaching Positions: These are positions that involve teaching English as well as other subjects to students at international schools in Japan, which cater to the children of expat families. Such places as the Canadian Academy in Kobe, and the Tokyo International School.

  • Online Teaching: Some companies or websites such as NativeCamp hire native English speakers to teach English online to students in Japan.

Generally speaking, the starting salary for an English teacher in Japan is between 2.5 and 3.5 million yen per year. This can increase with experience and qualifications.
